Malecón de Puerto Plata

The Malecón is Puerto Plata’s seafront, and the stretch between the fire station and Playa Acapulco is known for sea glass. Green is by far the most common, with white, amber, seafoam and occasional deep blue pieces also turning up. Most of the older glass is well tumbled, but fresh broken glass and litter are mixed in along the strand line, so proper shoes are a good idea. It’s a working town beach rather than a resort one, with fishing boats and a rougher shoreline
