Ohio's longest natural beach sits at the industrial mouth of the Grand River, and the long sand catches what Lake Erie digs up from its dumping era. Walk east toward the Fairport Harbor breakwater lighthouse and read the pebble lines: whites and greens, some aqua, the occasional cobalt. A patience beach. It produces off-season and after storms.
