Not Brean Sands. This is the rocky pocket at the FOOT of Brean Down, beside the National Trust car park. A collector who posted photos here describes the sea glass around the rock pools as "incredible: big pieces, little pieces, all kinds of colours". Work the rock pools and the cobble, not the open sand. Safety: the Bristol Channel has the second-highest tidal range in the world. The tide comes in fast, you can be cut off at the foot of the Down, and the low-tide mud is dangerous in itself. Go on a falling tide, never a rising one.
