The Ayrshire sea glass beach. Not Dunure (that is an agate beach), and not Girvan. An Ayrshire local with a long beachcombing record calls it "great for sea glass collecting". The glass here is industrial: the Portland Glass Co. worked at Ardeer from the 1920s, and waste from the old port of Irvine drifts down the coast. Search the strandline and the shingle rather than the dry sand. The dunes behind are a local nature reserve, so please keep off them.
